About IUAA

IU quick fact Doctor

Over 258,000 IU alumni live in Indiana. More than 50 percent of Indiana's physicians, 64 percent of optometrists, 35 percent of teachers, 75 percent of lawyers, 40 percent of nurses, and 90 percent of dentists are IU graduates.

Each graduate, former student, current student, and friend of IU has a lifelong connection to Indiana University. At the IU Alumni Association, we help forge these connections into ongoing, engaging relationships with IU.

Mission and Goals
Following the December 2007 Executive Council meeting, Tom Martz, the president of the IUAA, called together his executive team to begin the process of incorporating the six teams of engagement reports into a new IUAA Strategic Plan. This executive team held several all-day meetings to extensively review the reports from the teams, existing IUAA plans, and other important reports that had been developed by the IUAA over the previous five years, as well as the strategic plans of other IU divisions. Through review of all these documents, the team was able to insure vital aspects of each plan were either included in, or supported by, the IUAA Strategic Plan. This plan offers recommendations for 2008 and beyond.
